In recent times, choosing a motherboard cannot be completely determined by a Winstone score. Now, many boards come within one Winstone point of each other and therefore the need to benchmark boards against each other falls. Therefore you shouldn't base your decision entirely on the benchmarks you see here, but also on the technical features and advantages of this particular board, seeing as that will probably make the greatest difference in your overall experience.

Here you can see some astonishing scores, once again provided by ABIT the current holders of two awards on Anand's Hardware Tech Page. With the AMD K6 at 250MHz, a setting not too incredibly easy to accomplish on most boards yet a piece of cake on the TX5N, the test system achieved a score of 59.9 which is extremely close to that of most more expensive Pentium II systems! Using the Pentium MMX at 290.5MHz the test system achieved a score quite close to that of the K6 in the Business Winstone test however the most amazing score by the Pentium MMX was the 133 it achieved in the Business Graphics Winmark test!
If you're looking for a TX based motherboard and absolutely require an AT form factor give the ABIT TX5N or TX5 a try, depending on what type of user you are you may want to go with the Jumperless configuration or the TX5 over the DIP-Switch controlled TX5N.

Quite the writeup for a 14 year old and clearly why Anandtech was so successful! Great job Anand & team.
